The Forge - Form

(Print available soon on Amazon)

Most people try to learn plants by memorizing names.

It doesn’t work.

You forget them.
You second-guess yourself.
Everything starts to blur together.

Form is where that changes.

—

This is not a traditional field guide.

It’s a system for seeing.

Instead of giving you more information to remember, it trains something more useful:

pattern recognition.

You’ll learn how plants actually show up in the world—
how they grow, repeat, adapt, and change.

Not as isolated facts.

As structure.

—

Inside, you’ll move through 12 common plants, each chosen for a reason:

• Some teach you how plants grow upward
• Some show how they spread and occupy space
• Others reveal repetition, variation, and structure across time

By the end, you won’t just “know” these plants.

You’ll recognize patterns in places you’ve walked past your entire life.

—

This is the second stage of The Forge system:

The Forge System

Ember — Recognition

Learning to see what’s already there.

Form — Pattern ← You are here

Understanding how plants relate and repeat.

Edge — Precision

Refining identification through detail.

Field — Application

Learning how landscapes communicate through living systems.

Each stage builds on the last.

No overwhelm.
No memorization overload.
Just a clear progression in how you see.

—

If Ember helped you notice what was already there—

Form shows you how it all fits together.

And once you see that…

you don’t really go back.
