Volume I — Disturbance & Transition

Nature does not rush to rebuild. It simply begins.

What happens when a forest burns, a field is cleared, a tree falls, or the ground is disturbed?

Life doesn't wait for everything to be perfect.

Smith’n Shrooms: Field Collection — Volume I: Disturbance & Transition explores the places where change creates opportunity. Through detailed botanical and ecological illustrations, discover the plants, fungi, and landscapes that appear when familiar environments are disrupted and begin becoming something new.

From fallen forests and recovering ground to open clearings and changing woodland edges, each illustration invites you to slow down and look closer at the processes unfolding around us.

This volume is part coloring experience, part visual field exploration, and part reminder that nature is rarely still.

Disturbance is not simply destruction.

It can be the beginning of succession, adaptation, and renewal.

Whether you're fascinated by native plants, ecological relationships, natural history, or simply enjoy detailed nature-inspired coloring, Disturbance & Transition offers a different way to explore the living landscape—one page at a time.

Look closely.
The story has already started.
